Refund and Returns Policy
Pallet Liquidation Depot: Terms of Sale & Return Policy
Important Notice to Buyers: All inventory sold on this platform consists of wholesale liquidations, customer returns, shelf-pulls, and overstock merchandise. By purchasing from our website, you explicitly acknowledge and agree to the terms, conditions, and grading systems detailed below.
1. All Sales Are Final (“As-Is” Policy)
Except as expressly provided in Section 4 (Incorrect Shipments), all sales are final. There are no returns, refunds, credits, exchanges, or order cancellations once payment has been processed and freight/shipping has been booked.
All merchandise is sold “AS-IS” and “WHERE-IS.” We make no guarantees, representations, or warranties—express or implied—regarding the condition, functionality, completeness, merchantability, or resale value of the items contained within any pallet or truckload.
2. Nature of Liquidation Inventory
Buyers must understand the inherent risks of the liquidation industry before purchasing:
Condition Deficiencies: Pallets may contain a mix of brand-new, open-box, cosmetically damaged, heavily used, or entirely non-functional items.
Manifest Variances: If a pallet is accompanied by a manifest (an itemized list), it is intended strictly as a general guide. A variance of up to 10% in piece count, total retail value, or product description is standard in the liquidation industry and does not entitle the buyer to a partial refund or dispute.
Unmanifested Lots: “Mystery” or unmanifested pallets are sold entirely blind. No claims regarding their contents will be reviewed.
3. Freight, Delivery, and Damage in Transit
Inspection Upon Arrival: Buyers must thoroughly inspect the physical condition of the pallet(s) before signing the carrier’s Bill of Lading (BOL).
Notating Damage: If a pallet arrives completely tipped over, structurally broken, or clearly tampered with (e.g., shrink wrap cut open), you must note the exact damage on the carrier’s BOL before the driver leaves and take high-resolution photographs.
Carrier Liability: Our depot is not responsible for damage, theft, or delays caused by third-party freight carriers. If the BOL is signed cleanly without noted damages, we cannot assist you in filing a claim with the carrier.
4. Limited Exceptions & Claims Process
The only exception to our “All Sales Final” policy is if a gross logistical error occurred on our part (e.g., you ordered Pallet A and we shipped you a completely different Pallet B).
If you believe you received a completely incorrect order:
You must contact our support team at [email protected] within 48 hours of delivery.
You must provide your Order ID, and clear photographic evidence of the unopened pallet showing our warehouse tags.
Restocking/Administrative Fees: If a return or cancellation is authorized by management under extraordinary circumstances, it will be subject to a 25% restocking fee, and the buyer will be responsible for all return freight charges.
Lost or Stolen Shipments Policy
At Pallet Liquidation Depot, we ship all bulk pallets and truckloads via trusted third-party freight carriers. However, once a shipment leaves our loading dock, ownership of the merchandise transfers entirely to the buyer. Our depot is not liable for inventory that is lost, misrouted, or stolen in transit.
Lost Shipments
A shipment is only considered “lost” if the freight carrier officially declares it unrecoverable. If your delivery tracking stalls or the carrier misses the delivery window, you must contact the carrier directly using your provided Bill of Lading (BOL) tracking number to initiate a tracer.
Stolen Shipments
We are not responsible for shipments stolen after a documented delivery. If the carrier’s BOL or digital proof of delivery shows the pallet was dropped off at your designated commercial or residential address, the sale is complete.
Claims Process
To protect your investment, we strongly recommend purchasing third-party freight insurance at checkout. If a pallet is lost or stolen while in the carrier’s possession:
You must file a claim directly with the freight carrier.
We will gladly provide copies of the original warehouse invoice, weight receipts, and signed pickup BOLs to support your carrier investigation.
All sales remain final, and no refunds or replacement pallets will be issued by our depot for transit losses.
5. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
By checking the terms of service box at checkout, you agree not to file a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or credit card company for reasons relating to the condition, brand mix, or functionality of the inventory. Unauthorized chargebacks will result in the immediate and permanent suspension of your buyer account, and the matter may be referred to collections or legal authorities.
Tips for Implementation on Your Site:
Force a Checkout Checkbox: Do not let a buyer click “Place Order” without manually checking a box that says: “I understand that all sales are final, pallets are sold AS-IS, and I agree to the Return & Refund Policy.”
Display Grades Clearly: Make sure your product pages clearly label the pallets as Customer Returns, Salvage, or Overstock so buyers can’t claim they thought everything was brand new.
